While everyone has to deal with interruptions, one news reporter had to deal with the worst kind of disruption of all: a naughty adolescent. Pranksters are always lurking, waiting to cause havoc, especially while you’re live-broadcasting news from the field. This news reporter was live-broadcasting from Washington Square Park when a random young man approached him and pantsed him in front of the entire studio audience! Unfortunately, this news reporter found himself in the middle of everyone’s worst fear in an instant. He even attempted to pursue the person responsible but found it impossible to walk while with his pants down!

In 2017, the BBC made one of the most egregious news gaffes in history. Not only that, but it happened to Hugh Edwards, a 25-year presenter on one of the channel’s most popular shows, BBC Nightly News at 10. A technological failure assaulted viewers with random video segments for about three minutes, which is a long time on live television, interrupted by the loud “Breaking News” announcement. The broadcast would cut to Edwards, who sat motionless at the news desk, every now and then. inspecting his notes Edwards claims he was completely unaware of what was going on. The presenter finally began the show after what felt like an eternity, as if nothing had happened.
