Willie Nelson
Like his conversational singing, Willie Nelson’s guitar playing comes across as laid-back, playful, and easily recognizable without much diffuculty. Surprisingly, Nelson has been playing the same Martin M-20 classical guitar since 1969, nicknamed Trigger. It defines his voice, a nylon thorn of gypsy jazz that mixes country, blues, and Django Reinhardt jazz. Even though the guitar now has a big hole, Nelson still plays it every evening.
