John Fahey
Fahey passed away in 2001 aged 61, and excellent at guitar. He played American folk music and was an eccentric, incredible fingerpicker. He can be credited with transforming traditionally blues with advanced harmonies of modern classic music to then mine it with a prankster’s wit. His solo instrument was the steel-string acoustic guitar, and his unique style can be described as the foundation of the genre of American primitive guitar.
