90 Day Fiance features a lot of faults right from the start. Using K-1 visas, one member of each couple is permitted entry into the United States. But the couple must marry within 90 days of that date. Tourist visas must be renewed before they can enter the country. By creating tension between the couples, the show’s producers hope to elicit bigger reactions. Participants are often asked to perform or utter certain actions or words.
