Head Perching
Many individuals believe that local news is only for the birds and that it provides little more than entertainment. When a small animal incident occurred on broadcast, San Diego news station KFMB did little to reverse this view. When one of the guests chose to come on-air unannounced, anchor Nichelle Medina was simply reporting on an upcoming addition to the San Diego Zoo. Sophie, a 10-year-old scarlet ibis, was the special visitor.
