Everything seemed fine when ABC 7 anchor Marc Brown began reading the news one night in the late 1990s. That is until he saw a depiction of a wanted rapist and realized, as did many other viewers, that the drawing looked suspiciously like Brown himself. Many people at home questioned whether the thief was hiding in plain sight! Brown, of course, had nothing to do with the crime in the first place. It was merely a happy accident! This did not, however, prevent it from becoming one of the most iconic and amusing anchor images of all time. This iconic news report is still used as a meme all over the world today.
