A Worrying Situation
At the start of this CNN segment, everything seemed normal. Poppy Harlow, a pregnant news anchor at the time, was on the air, discussing the war against ISIS with reporter Becky Anderson. Harlow’s speech became slurred and eventually slowed. CNN cut to commercials as she started having problems breathing, putting viewers on the edge of their seats! Harlow later announced that she was OK. When Harlow returned, she informed viewers, “For all of you on Twitter who are asking if I’m ok, thank you so much, I got a little hot, and I passed out for a moment, I’m fine, we’re going to take a quick break, and we’ll be right back.”

Martje Oesterholt, a Dutch reporter, hoped to make a big impression on the mayor during her interview. Regrettably, this is exactly what happened to her. The two were apparently recording a promotional video for an Easter Festival when the anchor, who was leaning against the side of the boat, lost her balance. Even though Oesterholt struggled valiantly to cling on to the rope next to her, she eventually fell into the ocean. Furthermore, there was chaos all around her as the mayor tried to drag her back with his mayoral chain while the sound guy tried to fish the anchor out with his boom mike! Thankfully, Oesterholt made it out of the water safely.
