She thought that immediately after reading the note, her husband would have thrown it to the side; he didn’t though.

Instead, Jackie’s husband got his phone out! Jackie speculated that perhaps the waitress had given him her number; she was astounded. Jackie worried that her husband was no longer in love with her and had become tired of his life with the family.
