Jason Becker
Jason Eli Becker (born July 22, 1969) is a talented musician, songwriter, and composer from the United States. He and his pal Marty Friedman formed the Shrapnel Records-produced duo Cacophony at the age of 16, and they recorded two albums, Speed Metal Symphony (1987) and Go Off! (1988). Becker has pursued a solo career following the disintegration of Cacophony in 1989, producing seven albums since his 1988 debut Perpetual Burn. Later, he joined David Lee Roth’s band and released A Little Ain’t Enough with him. Becker’s acting career was cut short when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in 1989.
