This has to be one of the most watched prank programs of all time! Was the show genuine, or was it all a ruse? The explanation is that it is only partially true. There were instances when the pranks and reactions were genuine, but the show also used deception. Some celebrities were previously aware of the situation and simply went along with it.

It’s incredible to think that so many people believed this show was factual. The show follows a group of wealthy teenagers who plan spectacular Sweet 16 celebrations. The more radical it was, the better it seemed. On the broadcast, there were many tears and meltdowns, but many of them were merely staged for the cameras. Given what we know about the industry now, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.
