Without Gordon Ramsey, reality television would not be the same. He has, however, been chastised for the manner the show is run. It appeared to make a Manhattan eatery appear worse than it was. He was even sued for it! The plaintiff, on the other hand, ultimately decided to drop the case.

The good thing is that this show isn’t as phony as some of the other cooking shows out there. Even so, certain things are pre-planned for a little TV magic. During the first season of the show, one of the celebrity chefs pitched a fit because the meals were no longer warm when the judges were ready to taste them. While getting close-up pictures of the dishes, the cameramen had to hold everyone up. As a result, the contenders had to prepare two dishes: one for the cameras and another for the judges!
