They had the dress changed for the big day. They got away of the straps by putting organza puff sleeves to it, among other things. They also corrected the hemline and added ivory satin trim to the garment. It used to be a puffier dress, but we really like how it appears on the princess today.

The Tiara Was Very Special
There was a lot more to it. Princess Beatrice stole her grandmother’s royal wedding tiara in addition to the gown. It was a massive diamond tiara that Queen Elizabeth wore on her wedding day to Prince Philip in 1947. On her big day, Princess Beatrice looked absolutely stunning.
