She was also the first member of the royal family to run a marathon. Princess Beatrice completed the London Marathon in 2010. We’re sure she’s proud of it because it’s a tremendous accomplishment for anybody! She wore colorful legwarmers and tutus to match her classmates. The race was organized to raise money for a variety of children’s charities, including Children in Crisis, which her mother established.

Princess Beatrice studied theatre and movies throughout her teens. Did you know she’s the first member of the British royal family to star in a major film? In 2009, she played a minor role in the film Young Victoria. The fact that Sarah Ferguson was a producer on the film, which chronicles Queen Victoria in her early years, had to help. The historical errors in the film are said to have irritated the Queen.
